Rajkumar’s first official poker win happened on Oct 25, 2006. He participated in the World Poker Tour North American Poker Championships and didn’t come back empty-handed. He gained a 30th ranking and $30,022.
After that, he continued to play at different events and improve his skills until he won his first five-figure prize. He participated in the World Series of Poker, and his prize was $17,172. Despite earning all these prizes, his first title did not come until February 2008, when he conquered the LA Poker Classic tournament and made $113,425 in the process.
Vivek’s next significant win was later the same year, on Sep 14, 2008. He won first place in the World Poker Tour and received $1,424,500. He made another million dollars in the World Poker Tour in two separate tournaments in February and March of 2011 and then decided to step away from professional Poker.
Vivek Rajkumar and the Triton Million
Vivek Rajkumar made another comeback to poker tournaments at Rick Salomon’s invitation. He took part in the 2019 Triton Poker Superstar High Roller Series in London and came 5th place with an astounding amount of $3,652,345. The Triton Million is a charity event held by Triton Poker. This event is different from other Poker tournaments because first, you have to be selected or invited to participate. And second, you have to pay the massive buy-in of 1 million pounds.
What is Vivek Rajkumar doing now?
As mentioned before, Vivek stopped playing Poker after the Triton Million and didn’t leave a trace of what he is busy doing now. Rumer has it that he has bought a large stable with horses to keep busy and earn money. He is also working as an angel investor, a person who invests in new startups to give them a head start. Whatever the case, all we know is that he is enjoying the $8 million he earned during his poker career.
